The Glow Reset
A five-day retreat sold straight from the site, with limited places and online payment.
Context
RetreatA retreat with a limited number of places, sold directly and not through an agency, was filling up on the strength of individual messages. There was no clear record of who had already paid a deposit and who had merely asked about the price, so the same place could be promised twice, and sorting that out fell back on the organiser. The place had to book itself, with the deposit paid online, and a single edition visible at a time, so that one is not mistaken for another.
Architecture
The place books itself, with the deposit paid online.
The record of who has paid and who merely asked no longer depends on rereading messages.
The rest of the sum stays outside the online flow.
The online payment covers exactly what holds the place. The rest is settled directly, without complicating the booking.
The site shows a single edition at a time.
Two editions visible at once produce sign-ups for the wrong one, and sorting that out falls back on the organiser.
What I built
A programme by day
The “Experience” page sets out each day of the retreat, with the mind, body and beauty activities scheduled for that day.
A place held with an online deposit
The place is held with a deposit paid online through Netopia; the rest of the sum is settled outside this flow.
Basic and Premium packages
The participant chooses between the Basic and the Premium package, with a smaller group on the Premium one.
One edition on the site
The site announces a single edition of the retreat, with a fixed date and a settled location.
